What Is A Dietitian?

Dietitians work with both healthy and sick people, uniquely they use the most up-to-date public health and scientific research on food, health and disease which they translate into practical guidance to enable people to make appropriate lifestyle and food choices.

Dietitians are the only nutrition professionals to be regulated by laws and have an ethical code of conduct similar to doctors. This means that you, as patients/clients, are protected and can be assured that you will get the latest credible evidence-based information (British Dietetic Association, 2022).
